Andaz Dubai The Palm unveils designer residences

Andaz Dubai The Palm has announced the launch of its branded luxury designer residences. Housed in one of two 15-storey towers that make up the hotel, the 116 bespoke spaces are housed in one of two 15-storey towers that make up the hotel.

Each designer residence has been individually imagined in collaboration with GDS | Glintmeijer Design Studio and Akaas Visual Arts, one of the region’s leading art consulting companies. Catering to everything from extended business trips to long-term lets; the 25 Studios, 65 one-bedroom and 26 two-bedroom apartments range from 46 to 145-sq-m and offer distinctive features including unique recreational facilities and a variety of dining and entertainment options.

Centered on contemporary Arabic arts and crafts, every square inch has been carefully considered, delivering visual surprises at every turn. Design highlights include hidden doors behind moving glass panels, marble breakfast bars flanked by handcrafted metal sculptures and swirling geometric rugs inspired by Sadu – an ancient Bedouin embroidery technique. The Bedouin theme runs to Hyatt Grand Beds framed by a curving canopy of dark wood to create a modern interpretation of a Bedouin tent, while floor-to-ceiling windows not only offer spectacular shoreline views, but movable stained glass panels providing a daily kaleidoscopic light display.

One and two-bedroom residence bathrooms come kitted with walk-in wardrobes, stylish guest toilets, marble bath tubs and jet black double sinks, while all boast generously sized rain shower rooms, plush robes and eco-friendly bath toiletries. Fully equipped kitchen units including coffeemaker, induction cooker, dishwasher and washing machine are sleekly designed, with walnut cabinets offset by teal blue punched leather benches, copper taps and dark pewter tiles. Complete with 50-inch flat panel smart interactive TV, living areas invite interaction, with curved chestnut leather seating offset with Sadu-inspired prints. All two-bedroom residences boast large terraces with impressive vistas of the Arabian Gulf and the city’s cultural landmarks.

Designed to create a seamless extension of the neighbourhood, the designer residences will adopt the same barrier-free ethos as the adjoining hotel. Each resident will enjoy full access to Andaz Dubai The Palm’s luxury facilities including five distinct dining venues bursting with local flavours. Located in the residential tower, Hanami is the place to find contemporarily crafted Japanese cuisine peppered with an international touch, particularly its modern, edgy take on traditional Japanese Izakaya, best sampled on the restaurant’s sweeping terrace. For weekend mornings crying out for freshly baked pastries, locals can pop down to neighbourhood eatery The Locale; where a regularly rotating bakery is one of the many culinary stories which include an artisan coffee bar, dedicated pizza oven and cooking stations inspired by the city’s hidden boltholes – from the oldest kebab house to the Jumeirah’s favourite fish shack.

For those looking for an evening hotspot, Andaz Dubai The Palm’s underground urban bar Knox will serve up a heady mix of contemporary mixology in a concrete space with vintage rugs, vibrant furniture, regular cocktail classes and a social scene like no other. While The Andaz Lounge provides an ‘anti office’, combining artfully mismatched seating areas, a library of books and fully stocked bar to encourage a creative blend of work and play.

Ensuring contemporary city living comes with the endless opportunities to relax, residents can book into Ora, a tranquil spa haven housed on the 14th floor of the designer residence tower; or catch some rays at the captivating adult-only, Technicolor-tiled Cabana pool area the same floor. In-keeping with Andaz Dubai The Palm’s distinct and authentic design approach, four palm tree inspired umbrellas designed by local Emirati artist Khalid Shafar proudly sit at each corner, providing much-needed shade and undeniable style.

Fitness fanatics can also enjoy the state-of-the-art fitness centre and yoga terrace, while families and beach devotees can get their sandcastle fix at the 300-meter private beachfront, take a dip in Andaz Dubai The Palm’s destination infinity pool and or check little ones into the activity-filled Kids Club. Additional Andaz Dubai The Palm residents’ benefits include 24-hour guest services and dedicated concierge, complimentary wi-fi, parking, utilities and an on-call doctor.
