StandardAero completes Falcon 7X job

StandardAero Business Aviation has completed and delivered its first Dassault Falcon 7X 1C inspection from its MRO facility in Springfield, US.

In addition to the 1C inspection, StandardAero technicians completed more than 50 airframe Service Bulletins on the aircraft.

Service Bulletin 7X-338 was the largest work scope performed, modifying the centre wing tank for improved accessibility.

Service Bulletin 7X-353 was also completed, which improves fluid circulation in the lower panels of the lateral center wing tanks.

StandardAero is among the first authorised service centres in the Americas to perform Service Bulletin 7X-353.

The Springfield facility also completed interior improvements and Cabin Management System enhancements for the customer.  Aircraft engines were also removed and reinstalled by StandardAero to allow Pratt & Whitney Canada’s Mobile Response Team to comply with several engine Service Bulletins.

A timelapse video shows the work on the project, which was completed last month.

“As one of the most extensive Falcon 7X 1C events completed to date, this unique experience will benefit future customers by avoiding potential bottlenecks, knowing the level of Service Bulletin and inspection planning needed in advance of the aircraft input and putting the right technical resources in place for seamless project management,” said Enrique Hernandez, Vice President & General Manager of StandardAero’s Springfield facility.  “Our Falcon 7X programme is growing quickly and we will ensure our customers receive the most flexible and customized solutions for their aircraft.”

StandardAero is considered by many to be a leader in Falcon maintenance and heavy modifications -- supporting operators from its four primary MRO facilities located across the US.

The company has invested over $1 million in Falcon 7X tooling and has more than 30 factory-trained Falcon 7X technicians on staff to perform services for customers.   In addition, StandardAero develops an average of 100+ jointly engineered repairs annually with Dassault FalconJet and has developed more than 1,250 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for part 25 aircraft.

StandardAero is one of the world's largest independent providers of services including engine and airframe maintenance, repair and overhaul, engine component repair, engineering services, interior completions and paint applications.  StandardAero serves a diverse array of customers in business and general aviation, airline, military, helicopter, components, energy and VIP completions markets.
