Zuccon shows off design prowess at Cannes

Three new yachts designed by Zuccon International Project for Ferretti Yachts – the Ferretti 450, Ferretti 850 and Custom Line Navetta 37 – have made their world debut at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival in France.

Zuccon Study was commissioned to redesign Ferretti Yachts’ range over three years, and these first new models cover a wide range.

The entry level Ferretti 450 is a 14-m fly launched in June 2016, the Ferretti 850 is a 26-m flybridge characterised by sharp and sporty lines while the Navetta 37 is the new flagship for the semi-displacement Custom Line series.

For the Navetta 37, Zuccon International Project developed the external lines and the interior layout, introducing many innovative design elements, favouring solutions than breaks the pattern established on board models of the same category, such as the complete separation of the paths on board or the full beam owner's suite. Navetta 37 ’s decor is entirely customisable, with wide choice of materials, furniture and, on the external areas, loose furniture.

Founded in Rome by architect Gianni Zuccon and his wife Paola Galeazzi, Zuccon International Project is an architecture and industrial design studio that stands out for its multidisciplinary approach. Active in a variety of fields, including office architecture, Zuccon International Project is considered one of the world’s most authoritative nautical design studios and currently works with four of the Ferretti Group’s seven brands on an on-going basis.

In 2013 the studio launched a new brand, Zuccon SuperYacht Design (ZSYD), concerned exclusively with superyacht design and research.

The Cannes festival is being held at two French Riviera ports - Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto  - and runs until September 11.
