Flexjet choses Nextant 400XTi

Flexjet has selected its Nextant Aerospace’s Nextant 400XTi light jet for its new European operation and the operator plans to acquire an existing European operating certificate and to make the first XTi operational by year’s end.

The announcement was made as the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (Ebace) got under way in Geneva, Switzerland.

“The 400XTi is uniquely positioned to serve the European market,” said Raymond Jones, FlexJet’s Managing Director, International. “The aircraft effortlessly provides point to point range across Europe necessary to join the most travelled city pairs, with exceptionally low operating costs and arguably the most comfortable cabin in the light jet market. This combination makes it an ideal solution to launch our European based operation.”

The world’s only remanufactured business jet, the 400XTi has a range of 2,003 nm and can make trips from London to Moscow, Moscow to Nice, and Nice to London again. In addition, Nextant has service centres around the world to keep these jets well maintained no matter where they are.

Soon, Nextant will be partnering with a European-based company to further expand service centers.

“We have always believed the 400XTi was a perfect aircraft for Europe,” stated Jay Heublein, Executive Vice President for Nextant Aerospace. “Flexjet brings a long standing record of operational excellence, and we look forward to working with them on this new endeavor.”

The fleet will feature a custom designed interior which will offer the most leg room in the club seating area of any light jet. Each hand-crafted Flexjet Nextant 400XTi will also include a complete refreshment center, fully enclosed aft lavatory, a 3-place divan and wi-fi connectivity to ensure non-stop productivity.

Nextant’s pioneering process for remanufacturing business jets is recognised as an established technical and commercial success worldwide with significant sales in every major operator category and class-leading levels of comfort, performance and reliability all at a purchase price half that of comparable aircraft. The 400XTi light jet features Williams FJ44-3AP engines and the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated flight deck. The same winning combination will soon be available in the Nextant G90XT turboprop powered by next-generation GE H75-100 engines and introducing an enhanced Garmin G1000 integrated flight deck.
