JSSI promotes itself as the only hourly cost maintenance provider covering virtually all makes and models of business aircraft

Aircraft maintenance expert Jet Support Services Incorporated (JSSI) of the US will be present at the 2016 edition of the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (Ebace 2016) this May, showcasing its USP as the “only hourly cost maintenance provider”.

The premier event and annual meeting place for the European business aviation community, Ebace will be held from May 24 to 26 at Geneva’s Palexpo conference centre in Switzerland.

“JSSI exhibits each year at Ebace (this year at stand #G051) and finds it to be a very productive way to interact with our current clients and vendors as well as build new relationships with potential customers,” says Marketing Manager Susy Uribe. “We are planning to have a press conference at Ebace on May 23 to make several announcements about new programmes and recent achievements.”

She continues: “Since 1989, JSSI has been the only hourly cost maintenance provider covering virtually all makes and models of business aircraft, engines and APUs (auxiliary power units).

JSSI provides its customers with comprehensive, flexible and affordable financial tools for managing the often unpredictable costs of operating and maintaining nearly all types of turbine-powered aircraft, including jets, turbo-props and turbine-powered helicopters.

“As the creator of the revolutionary tip-to-tail programme, JSSI is uniquely qualified as the only single source provider of this trademarked hourly cost maintenance service. JSSI serves customers globally and manages maintenance services through its worldwide infrastructure of certified technical advisors.”

JSSI currently has over 2,000 aircraft enrolled onto its engine, airframe, APU and tip-to-tail programmes. These enrolled aircraft include turbine powered jets, turboprops, and helicopters that operate around the world. Currently more than 45 per cent of JSSI’s new business is generated outside the US.

In the Middle East, JSSI has office in Dubai, UAE, which is helping the company expand its profile in the region.

“We established the Dubai office as a base of operations for our Middle East Business Development and Technical Advisor team in April of 2012,” says Uribe. “Our strategy is to have JSSI representatives based around the world to have easy access to our customers. Establishing our Dubai office represents our commitment to this region for the future of business aviation. Our Dubai team has been successful in forging strong relationships that continue to help us achieve our business development goals and we expect that to continue for years to come.

“We continue to see success in the Gulf region with many operators recognising the value that our JSSI hourly cost maintenance programmes provide their flight operation. We recently enrolled a prominent charter fleet operation in Abu Dhabi onto a JSSI programme and expect more activity in this area.

“These successful operations appreciate our exceptional global support, our ability to lower maintenance costs and the improved residual value of the aircraft they achieve by enrolling onto a JSSI programme.”

A few months ago, JSSI introduced three new services - JSS1, JSSI Parts and the new Asset Monitoring Platform (AMP) - that go beyond the standard hourly cost maintenance programmes that it has been providing for more than 27 years. “JSS1, JSSI Parts and the new AMP are all unlike anything we have offered before, and each provides a service to a segment of the market that will expand our footprint in the industry,” says Uribe.

JSS1

The newly developed JSS1 programme goes beyond the tip-to-tail coverage that has been a JSSI trademark for decades. In addition to engine, airframe, and APU coverage, JSS1 encompasses every maintenance aspect of operating a turbine-powered aircraft, including allocations for paint, interior, avionics upgrades, subscription services, and more, into one single monthly payment.

In addition to accommodating for upgrades, JSS1 includes coverage for corrosion as well as an expansive list of concierge services that are customised for each operator, depending on their unique requirements. The end result is that the JSS1 client pays one simple monthly rate to obtain the ultimate level of coverage. The new programme removes virtually all exclusions while reducing the complexity and administrative hassle that comes with operating and maintaining an airplane.  JSS1 will be complemented with the absolute highest levels of customer service, says Uribe.

JSSI PARTS

After years of acquiring parts for customer maintenance events covered under a JSSI programme, using its expertise and significant buying power, JSSI now offers its procurement services to clients in need of parts not covered under a JSSI programme, as well as to third parties.

“With thousands of engines, airframes and APUs enrolled onto JSSI programmes, the volume of parts purchased by JSSI on a day-to-day basis far exceeds any normal operator’s buying power,” explains Uribe. “Typically, JSSI manages 6,000 maintenance events per year that involve parts procurement. This powerful leverage that reaches across all manufacturers allows the JSSI team to negotiate the best pricing from their massive network of global suppliers. Inventory distribution points will initially include Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and the UK.”

ASSET MONITORING PLATFORM

Developed specifically for business aircraft lenders, JSSI offers a unique web-based platform as a complimentary service to assist financial institutions with the management of financed aircraft. A tri-party arrangement between the owner/operator, lender and JSSI, AMP provides lenders with a comprehensive picture of an asset’s historical utilisation, as well as its past and future maintenance and financial obligations. Through the creation of customised alerts around an asset’s flight, payment, and maintenance activities, AMP notifies lenders of potential changes in the overall profile of the asset.

Looking ahead, Uribe says: “As much as we hear that 2016 will most likely be a flat year overall for business aviation, at JSSI, we are excited about the opportunities we see ahead. Our relationships with fleet customers like VistaJet and Delta Private Jets continue to grow as they remain successful and expand their businesses.

“We also continue to build on the strong affiliations we have established within the aircraft financing community which is represented by the increasing value they place on hourly cost maintenance programmes to help manage the residual value status of their assets.”
