Cadillac has announced the availability of its new 2020 Escalade, a luxurious SUV, in the Middle East region.
The SUV is now more sophisticated, stronger and stylish than ever before, thanks to a blend of innovative technology and exceptional craftsmanship, Cadillac said.
For 2020, the Escalade range offers myriad of trims, including Escalade, Premium Luxury and Platinum variants, as well as an extended-length ESV model.
The Escalade Platinum features a unique grille design, semi-aniline leather seating surfaces (first and second rows), leather-wrapped instrument panel and additional interior trim, Sumi Black Tamo Ash wood trim, 18-way driver’s seat with massage, microfiber sueded headliner, front console compartment with cooler and more.
The Escalade ESV, meanwhile, offers an additional 14-inch-longer (355 mm) wheelbase and approximately 20 inches (508 mm) greater overall length. The increased dimensions liberate extra space for third-row passengers and more than double the cargo space behind the third row. For an added layer of practicality, the second and third rows fold flat at the press of a button.
On the technology front, the 2020 Escalade features the latest Cadillac user experience system, which offers passengers uncompromising connectivity, with intuitive, smartphone-like functionality, making it one of the most technologically advanced vehicles in the history of the nameplate.
Another addition for 2020 is the available new Dark Mocha Metallic exterior colour, while for those seeking for a more performance-oriented look, there is the Escalade Sport Edition which is available on Premium Luxury and Platinum trims. The Sport Edition includes gloss black front grille and exterior trim; 22-inch 12-spoke alloy wheels in Midnight Silver for an imposing look.
Expectedly, the 2020 Escalade comes loaded with technology with features such as Bose Active Noise Cancelation technology, which bring an unprecedented level of refinement to the cabin.
Taking centre stage is a 12.3-inch-diagonal instrument cluster display with high-resolution digital driver information centre, while Cadillac user experience with 8-inch-diagonal colour touchscreen with embedded navigation and Natural Voice Recognition is standard.
To ensure unmatched infotainment capabilities, the 2020 Escalade features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with phone projection capability, wireless charging, five USB ports and Bose Centerpoint audio system with 16 speakers.
Safety remains a top priority for the 2020 Escalade, which features 10 airbags, including frontal for driver and front outboard passenger; seat-mounted side-impact for driver and front outboard passenger; driver inboard seat-mounted side-impact; head-curtain for all rows in outboard seating positions; Includes front outboard Passenger Sensing System for frontal outboard passenger airbag.
It also gets as standard Automatic Parking Assist, Front and Rear Park Assist and Surround Vision. Rear Camera Mirror is meanwhile standard on Premium Luxury and Platinum.
Driver Assist Package is standard on Premium Luxury and Platinum and includes: adaptive cruise control- advanced, automatic seat belt tightening, lane keep assist; lane departure warning, forward collision alert; rear camera mirror, IntelliBeam; automatic emergency braking and reverse automatic braking.
Powering the Escalade range is a potent 6.2L V8 engine rated at an SAE-certified 420 horsepower (313 kW) and 460 lb.-ft. of torque (621 Nm). Addressing varying customer preferences, the 2020 Escalade range is available in 4WD drivetrains, mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to the advanced drivetrain, the 2020 Escalade can dispatch the benchmark 0-100km/h run in under 6 seconds.
