Jewellery Arabia 2019, the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch exhibition, opens today in Bahrain bringing together 561 exhibitors from 36 countries for a dazzling five-day display of exclusive jewellery and watches.
Being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, the 28th exhibition of the prestigious annual series will run till November 23.
The show will display classic and contemporary designs, a huge range of finished jewellery, timepieces, precious gems, clocks, fine writing instruments, luxury accessories and more from around the globe. Open free of charge, show organisers Informa Markets anticipate an attendance of over 55,000 visitors at the jewellery extravaganza.
Renowned watch and jewellery houses will be making a return appearance at Jewellery Arabia 2019, including leading brands such as Asia Jewellers, Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Roberto Coin, Al Hashimi Pearls, Devji and many others. These high-profile international exhibitors use the event as a platform to showcase exclusive collections and limited edition pieces to the Middle East collectors’ market.
Complementing these iconic brands, national groups representing domestic jewellery brands will include a Hong Kong delegation hosting close to 40 established design houses, and major jewellery companies and service providers from China as well as Thailand.
New for 2019, a Moroccan pavilion will be introduced along with the show’s large and returning delegations of the finest retailers, designers and manufacturers from India, Japan, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan. Collectively, these groups reflect the very best manufacturing capabilities, design expertise and gemological resources that their respective countries have to offer.
Jewellery Arabia caters to all styles and budgets. For the sixth time this year, Bahrain style influencer and founder of the overdressed.com Dana Al Khalifa is returning to the show with a curated pavilion of international and local jewellers including Istanboulli Gioielli Milano, rejoicing visitors with beautiful modern designs using precious and semi-precious stones.
Dana Al Khalifa says: “We felt there was a niche in the market. We bring together a selection of jewellers who produce beautiful pieces at prices which the young working woman can afford.”
Education will also form an important part of Jewellery Arabia 2019. In addition to its complimentary insightful seminars, GIA (Gemological Institute of America) will also be introducing its “Diamond Origin Report” confirming the country of origin of a polished diamond. Thanks to the new report, customers will be comforted knowing that their purchase meets ethical standards.
Arihant Jewellers will also offer a unique learning experience through its Gold Mine Museum, aimed at raising general awareness about the manufacturing of fine gold and precious metals. Large gold and silver bars worth $1 million as well as gold ATM machines with live gold prices will also be on display at the stand.
To facilitate transportation to the convention centre, visitors can enjoy a 25% discount on up to four rides with the Careem app on the days of the show utilising the code ‘JEWEL’.
This year’s edition will also see the launch of its first mobile app of the show. Easy to use, Jewellery Arabia shoppers will be able to search for brands and jewellery products they are interested in, along with an attractive 3D map feature helping to navigate the event easily.
Jewellery Arabia 2019 is open from 4pm to 10pm from November 19 to 22, and from 12 pm to 10 pm on November 23.
