Luxury kit is haute and smart

TAG Heuer’s new Luxury Kit contains its new smartwatch was well as the brand’s prestigious tourbillon watch, along with a choice of two straps.

The two watches and straps are presented in a stylish three-drawer bureau-style case featuring elegant materials in understated hues.

The new TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 boasts a grade 5 titanium case, a ceramic bezel and an elegant brown leather strap. The watch is powered by an Intel Atom Z34XX series superprocessor and operates on Android Wear 2.0.

The Swiss watchmaker worked with Intel to design the smart technology behind the watch's superior performance and multitude of connectivity options including Bluetooth, wi-fi, GPS and NFC, and which also enables users to benefit from a wide range of functions offered under the Android Wear operating system.

The motherboard, brain and body of this watch were manufactured in Switzerland. The final assembly and tests were conducted by TAG Heuer at the heart of its manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

The smartwatch is interchangeable with the Heuer-02T COSC Chronograph Tourbillon, which was designed and developed at TAG Heuer.

With a skeleton movement, and a low inertia tourbillon made from carbon and titanium, it comprises 284 components, within a diameter of 31 mm and a thickness of 6.9 mm, beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations/hour) and boasts a 65-hour power reserve.

Conceived with the aim of making TAG Heuer the leader in accessible luxury, the watch was unveiled last year at Baselworld and competitively priced at CHF14,900.
