Nikki resort to debut this spring

The Middle East’s first Nikki beach resort opens its doors in Dubai, UAE, this spring.

Located at the Pearl Jumeirah, Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai is a luxury lifestyle beachfront resort and will feature “impeccable design and signature entertainment”.

It will be the 13th permanent Nikki Beach location and third hotel property to open worldwide.

Developed in partnership with Meraas, the resort spans over 52,000 sq m on a private beach with views over the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline.

Inspired by the vision of Jack Penrod, founder and owner of Nikki Beach Worldwide, the resort has been designed in collaboration with DSA Architects International with interiors by Gatserelia Design.

The luxurious five-star resort features 132 keys comprised of 117 innovative rooms and suites, alongside 15 villas. Additionally, there are 61 lifestyle residence units ranging from one to four bedrooms and 2 penthouses.

The property is situated on a 400-m white sandy beachfront, with amenities spanning Nikki Spa by Espa, Tone gym, Café Nikki, Satine Restaurant & Lounge, Key West and the famed Nikki Beach Restaurant and Beach Club.

“What truly sets us apart as a brand is the design of the property, with a seamless transition between inside and outside spaces. The energy variations and the feel of the different areas, combined with the entertainment concept of Nikki Beach, create a unique atmosphere,” explains Daniele Vastolo, General Manager of Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai.

“We have created areas that are very gentle to the senses. Every part of the project is a new discovery, but we also focused on maintaining a level of coherence throughout the property,” Daniele continues.

The design of the rooms, villas and common areas features the signature white theme of the Nikki Beach brand, complemented by key elements of the region’s personality and local touches. All of the elements are directly inspired by the beach, sea and sky.

“Nikki Beach is all about keeping the look natural and simple. There’s nothing synthetic or over the top. It was the natural look combined with soft sophistication in all white fabrics and free-flowing white curtains that made the essence of our Nikki Beach design. Basic, simple and with a touch of heaven,” explains Penrod.

The property is divided into four main components - the Hotel, the Villas, Nikki Beach Restaurant & Beach Club and the Residences. Each of these different facets of the property operate separately, however, they are all connected through the landscape, general design theme, colours and materials.

“Another important factor in designing Nikki Beach was to make sure we kept the good energy flowing through the space. It should always follow our vision of ‘Celebrating Life,’ surrounded by natural and earthy elements,” explains Penrod.

The light theme of the exterior and interior changes with the mood and becomes a direct reflection of it, creating a very theatrical ambiance. From romantic to chill, energetic or laidback, all themes are possible based on the general hotel mood or the guest’s mood inside their room.

This extends from the organic shapes of the lobby or the wood cladding of the corridors and the restaurants like Key West and Café Nikki. Nature plays a big role in the resort’s design with the use of rough tree branches to pebbles and algae. Every piece seems to be derived from nature with a focus on relaxation and a “feel good” mood.

With its highly anticipated debut this spring, the resort is set to leave its guests “in awe with its stunning interiors and engaging atmosphere” and to position itself as a trendsetting destination in Dubai.

The Nikki Beach brand comprises of a Beach Club Division, a Hotels & Resorts division, a Lifestyle division, a Special Events division and Nikki Cares, a non-profit charity division.

Nikki Beach can be found in Miami Beach, US; St. Tropez, France; St. Barth, French West Indies; Marbella, Spain; Marrakech, Morocco; Koh Samui, Thailand; Mallorca, Spain; Ibiza, Spain; Porto Heli, Greece; Bali, Indonesia; Monaco; Courchevel, France and soon in Dubai.

Nikki Beach has pop-up locations during the Cannes and Toronto Film Festivals. The Hotels & Resorts division has properties in Koh Samui, Thailand and Porto Heli, Greece. In 2017, Nikki Beach will be opening a resort in Courchevel.
