Montblanc has opened doors of its first neo-concept boutique in the Gulf at Doha’s Villaggio Mall, debuting the new retail concept currently being rolled out worldwide.
Managed by Montblanc’s longstanding partner, Ali Bin Ali, the new boutique invites customers to discover the diversity of the maison’s product offering through an immersive and multi-sensory retail experience.
Through the eyes of designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, the 84 sq m boutique introduces a pure and uncluttered aesthetic, mixing black, white and wood for a contemporary look and feel.
The fine qualities of the maison’s core timepiece, leather, jewellery, and iconic writing instrument collections are enhanced through a selection of fine materials which serve to identify each category by the distinct materials with which they are usually associated.
Watchmaking is brought to life through the use of bronze-sheen brass, leather and wood; black leather and walnut wood reflect the maison’s leather goods expertise; while lacquers and fine metals evoke writing instruments and jewellery, the company said.
A wide selection of the maison’s new and collectable writing instruments are showcased in the Villaggio Mall boutique, including the recently launched Borghese Patron of Arts Edition. Digital enthusiasts will enjoy the Augmented Paper, which transposes the art of writing to the digital world.
Of importance to collectors, the boutique will also house a number of limited edition Villeret timepieces, including the Vintage Pulsographe and the Tourbillon Bi Cylindrique; the world’s first wristwatch to feature a tourbillon with double cylindrical balance springs.
Awn Zureikat, chief operating officer of Ali Bin Ali Luxury, said: “The re-opening of the Villaggio Mall boutique, Qatar’s first neo concept boutique marks another milestone in a long and successful partnership with Montblanc. With its prime location, Montblanc’s extensive luxury offering, and Ali Bin Ali’s knowledge of our customers’ expectations, this newest Montblanc boutique delivers a truly premium shopping experience in Qatar and we look forward to welcoming our customers."
Nicolas Baretzki, CEO Montblanc International, said: “We are delighted to be opening Qatar’s first neo concept boutique in a premier shopping destination such as the Villaggio Mall, and to offer our discerning Qatari customers a new, and more immersive shopping experience. The sophisticated and contemporary environment emphasises the Maison’s fine European craftsmanship and offers new and existing customers the opportunity to explore the Montblanc story on his or her own terms.”
