WHALE OF A TIME
Price: $97,000 onwards
Fancy a watercraft that can dive under water, roll from side to side and jump 12 ft into the air?
Unlike conventional watercraft that only operate on a two-dimensional plane, the Seabreacher operates more like an aircraft with full three-axis of control. This allows the vessel to carve left and right, jump over, dive under, and cut though the waves. The acrylic canopy and underwater view ports give pilot and passenger a near 360-degree view as they fly through the water at breath-taking speed.
Its manufacturer says that 10 years of meticulous engineering and extensive testing have resulted in a very safe and stable watercraft. Each Seabreacher is hand built to the individual customer’s specifications and is available in Dolphin style J model, Shark style X model, or the Killer Whale Y model.
US luxury textile and accessory designer Tania Jarvinen’s collection brings vibrancy to men’s fashion, extending now into women’s accessories. Elite Traveler magazine has referred to the new brand as “aligning with mega brands such as Gucci, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, LVMH, delivering the ideal ‘Madison Avenue’ environment”.
Tania Jarvinen has a reputation for impeccable quality and unique, standout beauty – a creator of “timeless design unfettered by trends” – for the discerning consumer. Each bespoke textile design is inspired from her work of fine art and is often a miniature replica of a painting, such as her fine silk pocket squares, women’s scarves and men’s ties.
Just a few short years ago a cruiser with the sheer performance of the Triumph Rocket III would have been an impossible daydream, an engineer’s ‘what if’.
The Rocket III is a whirling, mechanised cyclone of power. Its three fuel-injected cylinders displace a monstrous 2,294 cc and pump out 147 lb-ft of torque. That amazing output is fed to the giant 240-section rear tyre via a five-speed gearbox and shaft drive, while the massively strong steel frame, upside-down forks and Daytona 955i spec four-piston brake calipers elementally contain the Rocket III’s potential.
